Today, the Chilean Central Bank reported foreign direct investment (FDI) figures through July of this year. According to its records, a net inflow of US$10.1 billion was recorded through the seventh month of 2026, a 15% increase from the same period in 2025, when FDI totaled US$8.8 billion.

InvestChile data shows that US$2.0 billion in FDI, primarily reinvested earnings, entered the country in July alone.

Since this data covers only the first seven months of the year, InvestChile notes that the figure is not a reliable indicator for future projections; however, it is within the range of the five-year average of US$10.6 billion.

The largest component of cumulative FDI flow as of July was reinvested earnings, totaling US$8.2 billion. Equity capital amounted to US$2 billion and debt instruments to US$58 million
