Potential Czech investors visit the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency

Investment opportunities in the energy sector were the main topic discussed during a meeting between executives of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency and a delegation from the Czech Republic, formed by Václav Zemek, a member of the Czech Parliament, Stanislav Absolon, a businessman, and the Economic and Commercial Councilor of the Czech Embassy in Santiago, Ondrej Kasina.

Other topics addressed during the meeting included Chile’s business climate and the advantages the country offers for potential Czech investors.

Since 2003, Chile has had an Association Agreement with the European Union, its third largest trading partner after China and the United States. The EU is also Chile’s leading source of foreign direct investment, accounting for over 30% of the inflow between 2009 and 2014.
