This Roadshow is part of InvestChile’s international agenda for promoting and attracting investment in priority markets. It comprises business activities in Tokio and Seoul from Monday 9 of October to Friday 13th.  

The Minister of Economy, Development and Tourism, Nicolás Grau Veloso and the InvestChile Director, Karla Flores, will lead this business mission in Japan and Korea, with the purpose of presenting Chile’s Lithium Strategy and the solid and dynamic business environment for investment. 

From the 14th to the 20th, the InvestChile delegation will join ChileWeek in China participating in b2b meetings with high-level representatives from Chinese companies in Chengdu, as well as hosting sectorial workshops in energía, infrastructure, lithium, electromobility in Beijing. Also another electromobility workshop and bilaterals in Shanghai.  

ChileWeek, organised by ProChile is a major deployment of public/private authorities that aims to show Chinese decision makers the opportunities Chile has to offer as a supplier of goods and services, and as an investment destination.  

Despite being our main trading partner and steadily increasing its presence in the country, Chinese investment in Chile still faces a number of challenges. According to figures from the Central Bank, China has an investment stock in our country of only US$496 million as of 2021, which represents 6.1% of total investment from Asia.
